Without the drive connected, the computer boots normally. test in the BIOS says the drive works fine, and the drive shows up during the POST screens, and I get as far as the “Starting Windows” screen… but once the multi-coloured Windoze logo appears, the computer stops… no more drive access LED activity… no drive noises… the screen doesn’t ever proceed to the Windoze login screen… the computer just sits there… for hours, if you let it. I have an older drive that now prevents Windows from booting.
I have been trying to get this resolved for months.
